Oh, the weather outside is weather...

After a long road of informal and formal strategic alternative reviews, Dollar Tree has signed a definitive agreement to sell its Family Dollar segment ten years after its acquisition with the goal to do less (divest over 7,500 stores).

2008’s break-up classic Forgetting Sarah Marshall echoes many features of the Dollar Tree - Family Dollar relationship. And given the size, complexity, and transition required to divest a segment of this size there will likely be a few awkward encounters over time.
