First closing
Realty Income (NYSE: O) announced the initial $716 million closing of its recently launched perpetual life U.S. Open-End Core Plus Fund. The first third party investors in the fund include the Townsend Group as well as a “diversified base of institutional investors, such as public and corporate pension funds, asset managers, and investment advisors.”
Additional closings are expected through March 2026.
The fund’s $1.4 billion seed portfolio, which included assets that were contributed from Realty Income’s existing wholly owned portfolio, was comprised of 183 income-generating properties (>50% of annualized base rent from industrial properties and the remainder derived predominantly from retail properties).
